Little Spartans Preschool Program

Welcome to the Little Spartans Preschool Program!  The West Long Branch School District proudly offers a free, full-day, high-quality integrated preschool program for 3- and 4-year-old children residing in West Long Branch and Allenhurst, thanks to funding provided through the Preschool Expansion Aid (PEA) grant. During the 2023-2024 school year, the program expanded to four classrooms located at Betty McElmon Elementary School. Additionally, the district has established a partnership with Kiddie Academy of Eatontown to open a fifth district-overseen preschool classroom at their location in September 2024. In preparation for continued program enhancement, the preschool instructional and administrative staff underwent comprehensive training to support a transition to the Tools of the Mind Preschool Curriculum in Fall 2024. This curriculum, designed to foster self-regulation and cognitive, social, and emotional development, will strengthen our ability to provide young learners with a solid foundation for future learning.
